The Highlife was packed with the energy of hip hop (and people) for Wednesday?s Beastie Boys tribute. SGF emcees SincerelyYours. (AdRock), Tahmiipee (Mike D), and Aaron Holmes (MCA) each took the role of a Beastie rapper, while DJ Platinum and Nick Fury worked the turntables. Artist John Worcester was creating live art based on the Brooklyn rap trio and Bboy Heebz represented the break dance side of the culture. MC Smitty and Ludo opened the show with an original set.
