Doris was born in Poteau, Oklahoma to Ada and Thomas Kimbro. In 1943 she met her future husband, Jasper Railsback, who was stationed in Oklahoma. On May 13, 1944 the couple married in Greenfield, Mississippi just prior to Jasper's deployment to Europe. After the war Jasper and Doris made their new home in Long Beach, California. In May of 1946, Doris gave birth to her son Eddie. The couple moved to Gardena, California where their daughter, Karen, was born in August of 1949. Doris remained home with her chldren bestowing much love and affection while teaching them to be responsible individuals. In 1955 she began full time employment with Bank of America, eventually becoming a branch manager. She and her husband finally retired in 1982 and moved to Paso Robles to be closer to their family.
Doris is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Jasper; her mother, father, step father Elmer and her brother Thomas.
Grieving the loss of our Mom, grandma, Gigi are daughter Karen Blansett her husband Lannie, Son Ed Railsback and his wife Bonnie, Granchildren Lannie Blansett III and wife Vicki, Jeff Railsback and his wifeTanya, Chad Railsback and wife Jennifer, Tina Lessi and husband Darren and Trent Lone. In addition Doris enjoyed nine great-grandchildren: Alyssa Blansett, Clem Lessi, Dalton Lone, Taryn Lessi, McKenna Blansett Keegan Railsback, Chloe Railsback, Reece Railsback and Finn Railsback.
The Family wishes to thank Kathy Tucker and the staff at the The Lodges at Ada's Vineyard for the loving care of our mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Doris' name to The Lodges at Ada's Vineyard in Paso Robles.
