Most people think of the movie ?Dodgeball? when they hear the word related to the sport.? The famous quote, ?If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball?, is always a way to get people talking about the sport.? However, dodgeball can be a lot more challenging than some may believe.?
The Intramural Dodgeball League has some very unique teams that make dodgeball a lot more strategic than people realize.? Personally I have seen some intense matchups that consisted of a long fought-out duel between both sides..? While the majority of people think dodgeball is somewhat of a younger generations? game, dodgeball can actually be an extreme workout with strategic gameplay.? Ask any current intramural participants and they will say it gets pretty competitive when you have six guys/girls competing to become the next dodgeball champions.
As playoffs are now underway, I only expect the level of competition to escalate as teams get one step closer to being crowned the champs.? Meanwhile, for those who do not think dodgeball is an actual sport I challenge you to give it a shot sometime.? It?s a great way for everyone to enjoy a little exercise with a friendly or competitive game depending on the group of people you are playing with.?
Lastly, for the teams that are still contending to be named Intramural Champions I wish you the best of luck and remember the famous line from Patches O? Houlihan?.
