Question by Camille: how do you become a writing professor what major do you go for?
I want to do something with writing but it has to deal with education also. I am not that good at math but writing and English is what I do best. So I wanted to go to college for it but i cannot. So what type of degrees does a writing professor go for? What would he major in?

You?d need at least a masters to teach at a 2-year college, and a PhD to teach at the 4-year college or university level. You?d probably major in English or creative writing, and then go on for a masters and PhD in the field. You don?t need to take education classes to teach college. There are far more people with PhDs who want to teach college than there are jobs for them, so even after finishing a PhD your odds of getting a full-time faculty job are worse than 10%, so you?d need a backup plan.
